About these terms
These terms describe use of the Chomk website, its interactive previews, and Chomk’s storage-monitoring features where the app is made available. If you do not agree, please stop using the website or app.
A separate software license supplied with an app release governs the rights it grants to use, copy, modify, or distribute that software. These terms do not remove rights granted by that license or mandatory rights under applicable law.
Development and availability
Chomk is in development for macOS. This website currently presents the app with example data and does not offer a public download or paid subscription. The interactive website previews do not scan your device or change the settings of an installed app.
Features, system requirements, availability, and release plans can change. Screenshots are illustrations of the current app, not a promise of your Mac’s readings or of a particular release date.
Any future paid offering will state its price and purchase terms before you are asked to buy it. Browsing this website does not create a payment obligation.
Using the site and app
Use Chomk lawfully and only inspect devices and folders you are permitted to access. You choose the macOS permissions you grant and the settings you enable.
Do not try to bypass the website’s private access controls, disrupt its operation, or use it to distribute harmful material. Keep appropriate backups and review files before taking actions outside Chomk.
Storage information
Chomk helps you understand available space and recorded folder changes. It does not automatically delete or move your files, guarantee recovered space, or replace a backup system.
Readings can be delayed, incomplete, or affected by permissions, filesystem behavior, or changes on your Mac. Available space, physical free space, and recorded folder changes are different measurements. Some storage changes cannot be attributed to a specific folder.
You remain responsible for decisions you make in Finder or other tools. Inspect the actual files before deleting, moving, or sharing them.
Content and software licenses
The Chomk name, original mascot artwork, website copy, and other content belong to their respective rights holders. Viewing this website does not transfer ownership of that material.
Software and third-party components may be supplied under their own licenses. Those licenses continue to apply. Nothing in these terms restricts permissions expressly granted by an applicable open-source license.
Files on your device remain yours. Chomk does not claim ownership of them.
Privacy and other services
The Privacy Policy explains local app data, website hosting, and your choices. The current private website uses OpenAI Sites access controls; your use of that platform is also subject to its applicable terms.
External services and links are operated by their own providers. Their terms and privacy practices govern your use of them.
Warranties and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website, previews, and development software are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or suitability for a particular storage-management decision.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the website or app. No provision excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits mandatory consumer rights. Any warranty or liability provision in an applicable software license continues to apply according to that license.
Changes and access
We may update the website, pause a development preview, or withdraw access where necessary to protect its operation or comply with law. We may revise these terms as the product changes, publishing the updated version and date on this page.
Updated terms apply prospectively. If a change requires consent under applicable law, we will obtain it rather than treat silence as consent. Nothing here limits rights that apply under the mandatory laws where you live.
