Can I download Chomk yet?
Chomk is in development for macOS. The app previews here show the current version with example data. A public download is coming; there isn’t one to install from this page yet.
Does Chomk clean up my Mac?
Chomk monitors and explains storage. It doesn’t delete or move your files. You can inspect a growing folder and reveal it in Finder, then decide what to do yourself.
Do my files leave my Mac?
The app’s storage index, history, and companion preferences are local. Monitoring doesn’t require an account or uploading your files. Any Chonk card you export is generated locally, too.
Can it explain every storage change?
Some folders need extra permission to inspect, and macOS storage includes things that aren’t ordinary files. Chomk shows access gaps and separates available space from recorded folder changes, so an incomplete picture is labelled honestly.
Can I have the numbers without the antics?
Of course. Turn off Small celebrations to keep things quiet. Chomk’s storage monitoring and your chosen warnings keep working. Reduced-motion preferences are respected, too.
